• Collaborate with the assigned Territory Manager to develop sales strategies aimed at maximizing revenue with both existing and potential accounts.
• Respond to incoming calls from designated accounts to process sales orders and address customer service inquiries.
• Make proactive calls to established accounts to enhance sales revenue and foster customer loyalty.
• Assist accounts in researching and purchasing both stocked and non-stocked items from Animal Health and our manufacturing partners.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with purchasers and utilizing reference materials as necessary to support accounts.
• Address account queries or concerns while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Facilitate the return of incorrect or damaged products in accordance with the guidelines set by Animal Health and the manufacturers we represent.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings to stay updated on new products, industry changes, and developments within Animal Health.
• Process orders for the assigned territory.
• Track backorder statuses for accounts.
• May collect information regarding the assigned territory or accounts and communicate relevant details with the TM partner.
• Reach out to accounts to gather insights, present suitable promotions and programs, and relay industry information that may impact or benefit the account and the company.
• Provide support for general queue sales calls.
• An Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology, a bachelor’s degree in an animal health field, or a comparable agricultural degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a veterinary clinic or at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in an animal health call center environment is preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in explaining, selling, and administering products; directs customers to the appropriate organizational resources.
• Communicates effectively in both individual and group settings, including appropriate nonverbal cues.
• Is customer-focused, sensitive, and responsive to customer needs and priorities; builds effective working relationships with customers, earning their respect and loyalty.
• Exhibits the ability to swiftly adapt to changes in daily operations concerning departmental priorities.
• Creates work objectives and action plans for personal development; sets realistic priorities, personal checkpoints, and performance measures.
• Aims to meet both organizational and individual performance goals; readily puts in extra effort when necessary to complete tasks.
