This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Responds to all incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner, documenting each call according to departmental guidelines.
• Recognizes and addresses inquiries or issues raised by insured clients in a way that meets or surpasses client service expectations.
• Delivers precise information to insured individuals in line with company policies or conducts research as needed (e.g., utilizing computerized systems to confirm coverage, payment status, etc.).
• Promptly informs supervisors of any escalated issues, service errors, or unusual occurrences to ensure swift resolution.
• Gathers comparative quotes for personal lines insurance (such as automobile, homeowners, renters, etc.) and presents them to insured clients.
• Reviews insurance applications for correctness and inputs new insured clients into the computerized system.
• Monitors new business pending files by date and follows up with carriers if policies are not received in a timely manner.
• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service and/or sales, ideally within the insurance sector, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Proven proficiency in using computers, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Possession of a NYS Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license, or the capability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
