This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Foster customer relationships to position Raytheon Naval Power as a reliable partner within Japanese Defense organizations.
• Collaborate with senior Japanese and US Government officials to identify maritime and air combat capabilities, capacity gaps, and both current and future requirements.
• Assist in both existing and new Raytheon Naval Power franchise captures and key pursuits, including support for the Naval Power Business President and designated Vice Presidents.
• Formulate innovative, integrated solutions with Japanese and Raytheon functional leaders to create new business opportunities, aiming to enhance topline pipeline growth for Naval Power.
• Partner closely with Naval Power program and functional leaders to achieve 5YP bookings, exceeding $5 billion over the 5-year plan.
• Provide support and coordination for the Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM), proposal efforts, EX/IM, Engineering, and Capabilities Assessment teams in the execution of current contracts.
• Collaborate with local Japanese teams, including Trading Companies, to design and implement country-specific programs and growth strategies.
• Work alongside RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) in advocating for and developing new technologies and our solutions.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 14 years in Aerospace & Defense, or an Advanced Degree with at least 12 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Naval Systems operations or acquisition, including radars, AEGIS, shipboard missiles, Tomahawk, or naval operations.
• Surface warfare officer with experience in Navy integrated air and missile defense technologies, operations, and platforms (command of an Aegis ship preferred).
• Familiarity with Direct Commercial Sale/Foreign Military Sale (DCS/FMS) processes and procedures, including US import/export regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in engaging with Japanese defense and security agencies: Japanese Ministry of Defense, Internal Bureau, Acquisition Technology and Logistics Agency, Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force, and Japanese Air Self-Defense Force, along with key Japanese industries.
• Proven experience in shaping, modifying, and supporting Japan’s Defense Build Plan.
• History of working with Senior Government, Military, and/or Industry leaders, adept at translating complex issues into clear, actionable plans for Senior Leaders.
