• HSA Transaction Processing: Accurately manage internal bank transfers and wire transactions.
• Reconcile both depository and intermediary bank accounts.
• Oversee money movements for contributions and distributions related to HSAs.
• Facilitate money movements for consumer investment transactions.
• Coordinate and oversee sub-custodian processing for financial institutions.
• Handle Contribution Exception processing from partner notification to resolution.
• Operational Efficiency: Contribute insights and support in enhancing processes within HSA Custodian Operations.
• Assist in the development and upkeep of procedures associated with HSA Custodian Operations.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure seamless operational workflows.
• Data Gathering: Collect and verify data from diverse internal and external sources to ensure HSA transaction records' accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct routine analysis to back key operational functions such as daily account reconciliations, exception management, and discrepancy investigations.
• Create and disseminate reports to monitor operational metrics, track service level agreements (SLAs), and provide leadership with insights into transaction volumes and trends.
• Utilize data to pinpoint opportunities for process automation, risk mitigation, and enhancements in operational efficiency.
• Risk Mitigation and Error Resolution: Identify and escalate potential risks or control deficiencies in operational procedures.
• Investigate and promptly resolve transaction discrepancies and errors, documenting the resolution process.
• Customer and Partner Support: Address consumer and partner inquiries related to HSA Custodian processing, including tax reporting, unclaimed property, and contribution processing within service level agreements while delivering top-notch customer service.
• Support internal teams and report on external service level agreements.
• Proactively seek and embrace opportunities to integrate AI and automation technologies into operational practices.
• Complete other assigned projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a remarkable commitment to accuracy and detail.
• High proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive and self-motivated work ethic with the ability to adapt to change.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience in HSA/custodial operations or in treasury or accounting roles.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, MACROs, and AppScripts.
• Familiarity with wire transfer platforms and core banking systems.
• Proven ability to adapt to change and take initiative on new projects.
• 1-2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
