• The Curriculum Developer will be instrumental in creating the content for Correlation One's innovative Aerospace Technician program, aimed at equipping working adults with the skills necessary for technician roles in the commercial aerospace manufacturing sector.
• This individual will be tasked with designing and authoring lessons, demonstrations, and practical exercises — delivered online and complemented by shipped practice kits — that cultivate essential aerospace manufacturing skills such as engineering drawing interpretation, precision measurement, materials handling, introductory soldering, and adherence to aerospace safety standards.
• A successful candidate for the curriculum developer role will possess hands-on experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing and will collaborate closely with Correlation One's Learning Experience Design team and employer subject-matter experts to ensure that the curriculum meets validated skill requirements.
• Evaluate and provide guidance on proposed curriculum for the course, ensuring the inclusion of correct concepts.
• Create lessons, demonstrations, and practical exercises (including kit-based virtual labs) that impart foundational skills for aspiring aerospace technicians.
• Refine curriculum based on feedback from employer SMEs, ensuring that content remains aligned with current aerospace industry standards, tools, and certification pathways (e.g., OSHA 10, GD&T, IPC J-STD-001 preparation).
• Work in partnership with other curriculum developers to Peer Review lessons, providing constructive feedback for enhancements.
• Examine lessons and QA exercises, documenting any modifications in QA Documentation.
• If needed, attend weekly and ad hoc meetings: Engage in weekly discussions with the C1 content developer to ensure the team is on schedule in preparing all curriculum and related materials, addressing questions, and deliberating on relevant decisions, etc.
• Implement content on the platform (training will be provided).
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or associated technical fields (Structures, Assembly & Integration, or Composites preferred).
• Proven expertise in at least one of the following areas: Structures (drilling, fastening, structural assembly), Assembly & Integration (system assembly, fluid systems, harness routing), or Composites (layup, bonding, surface preparation).
• Familiarity with technician-level skills relevant to aerospace roles, including blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and practical tasks (e.g., drilling/fastening, system assembly, torque application, or composite layup/bonding).
• Experience working from written work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality specifications in a production or aerospace setting.
• Knowledge of aerospace safety and quality standards (e.g., OSHA, 5S, FOD).
• At least 3 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or technical writing — with a bonus for experience in technical or vocational training environments.
• Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring adult learners in technical subjects.
• Exceptional written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for novice learners.
• Proficient in digital collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Office).
• Comfortable working remotely, independently, and self-motivated to achieve success.
