This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the target architecture for a scalable SaaS platform, focusing on availability, performance, cost-efficiency, and maintainability.

• Establish robust enterprise foundations that include reliability, observability, incident response, data governance, access control, auditability, and operational maturity.

• Set definitive technical standards encompassing service boundaries, API contracts, data architecture, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, release protocols, and rollback strategies.

• Create a practical roadmap for platform modernization that does not hinder feature delivery.

• Transform company objectives into an efficient delivery framework with clear priorities, defined milestones, strong accountability, and a consistent shipping rhythm.

• Develop and implement execution rituals, including planning, estimation, weekly delivery checkpoints, technical reviews, postmortems, and quality assurance gates.

• Proactively identify bottlenecks (people, process, technology) and quickly resolve them, particularly across team dependencies involving engineering, design, and go-to-market strategies.

• Elevate engineering standards through a culture of code reviews, system design excellence, rigorous testing, and operational superiority.

• Manage staffing strategies that include recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, career progression, and development paths for engineers and technical leads.

• Convert business priorities into technical plans that can be trusted by the CEO and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Head of Engineering in scaling a SaaS product from early-stage development to enterprise readiness.

• Strong architectural judgment in areas such as distributed systems, backend services, data pipelines, security, reliability, and cloud infrastructure.

• Proven track record of delivering projects under tight deadlines while enhancing quality and predictability.

• Exceptional leadership skills in hiring, coaching, accountability, and fostering a high-performance, low-politics culture.

• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) for effective leadership communication, documentation, and collaboration with global customers and partners.
