This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist targeted civil society organizations in enhancing the design, implementation, and sustainability of programmatic models related to community sponsorship and other protection pathways.
• Perform collaborative institutional and organizational assessments to pinpoint strengths, operational and programmatic gaps, sustainability challenges, and key areas for support.
• Create and deliver customized organizational strengthening and support guidance, encompassing priorities, actionable plans, and follow-up measures.
• Aid organizations in co-developing and fortifying practical organizational processes, tools, and workflows.
• Offer guidance as enhancements are enacted as agreed.
• Assist organizations in structuring methods for community engagement to promote increased community ownership and participation.
• Contribute to the expansion and diversification of the network of civil society organizations involved in community sponsorship through outreach, relationship-building, and initial engagement with potential new organizations.
• Collaborate closely with PI’s Brazil team and relevant specialists to ensure that support is coherent, complementary, and aligned with strategic priorities, approaches, and standards.
• Engage in weekly check-ins and additional meetings as necessary.
• Submit written monthly progress reports.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience, including proven experience in supporting the institutional or organizational strengthening of NGOs, civil society organizations, or community-based organizations.
• A university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Social Work, International Relations, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
• Experience in designing and implementing tailored organizational strengthening and support processes.
• Proven experience assisting organizations as they adapt and implement agreed-upon improvements.
• Capability to conduct collaborative and participatory organizational assessments and convert findings into clear priorities, practical recommendations, action plans, and follow-up processes.
• Experience in co-developing or enhancing organizational processes, operational workflows, practical tools, or implementation arrangements.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and collaborate effectively with organizations at various stages of development.
• Proficiency in coordinating effectively with colleagues and professionals from diverse areas of expertise.
• Competence in managing multiple organizational support processes, maintaining effective follow-up, and working independently in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluency in Portuguese and strong working proficiency in English (both oral and written).
• High level of professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and interpersonal sensitivity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and SharePoint.
• Experience in a civil society or community-based organization in a role related to institutional development, organizational management, or program implementation is preferred.
• Experience in supporting civil society or community-based organizations to enhance community engagement, local participation, or community-based approaches is preferred.
• Experience in contributing to the development or expansion of civil society networks, partnerships, peer-learning processes, or broader ecosystem-building initiatives is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Brazilian civil society, migration, refugee protection, and/or community sponsorship ecosystem is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced and multicultural environment is preferred.
• Consultancy contract for an initial duration of six months.
• Commitment of 40 hours per week.
• Remote work based in Brazil.
• Occasional in-person engagement with organizations, subject to prior agreement.
• Meetings held during standard working hours in Brazil.
