Crypto Economics Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive theoretical and empirical research on blockchain ecosystems, market dynamics, incentives, and network sustainability.

• Assist in the design, evaluation, and enhancement of protocols based on research findings.

• Develop models, datasets, and analytical frameworks to assess strategic and economic trade-offs.

• Examine on-chain, market, and ecosystem data to produce actionable insights.

• Convert complex research findings into straightforward recommendations, actions, and knowledge resources.

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in cryptoasset research.

⛳️ Requirements

• A quantitative background in fields such as economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or other related disciplines.

• Strong empirical research and modeling capabilities, including but not limited to structural estimation, causal inference, time-series analysis, machine learning, asset pricing models, simulation methods, mechanism design, market microstructure, and game theory.

• Over 3 years of experience in applied economics, quantitative research, data science, or a similar analytical position.

• Experience in developing data-driven research products, analytical frameworks, models, and tools that guide strategy, investment, product, or policy decisions.

• Proficiency and demonstrable experience with Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with crypto, blockchain ecosystems, DeFi, tokenomics, staking, or digital asset markets is preferred.

• Exceptional written communication skills and analytical judgment. (We value rigorous thinking, but also emphasize producing work that facilitates real decision-making.)

• Comfort with managing and resolving ambiguous, open-ended problems from start to finish.
