This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture professional relationships with the Regional Leadership team (including the Regional Vice President, Regional Claims Manager, Regional Operations Manager, and Regional Marketing Manager) as well as other departments (such as Compliance, Underwriting, Accounting, and Agents) to facilitate open and effective communication for the efficient and accurate processing of claims.

• Stay informed about growth and potential expansion opportunities.

• Gather and provide insights to the Regional Claim Manager to keep them updated on claims-related developments that Management will utilize in various scenarios (e.g., budgetary decisions, staffing considerations, claims processing, etc.).

• Ensure optimal resource utilization in budget management, such as monitoring and analyzing the number of claims handled by adjusters to maintain appropriate staffing levels.

• Monitor claim productivity metrics, including the duration from Assignment to Adjuster to Initial Contact with Insured, from Signed status to In Office status, and Adjuster Notes usage, for performance management and business decision-making purposes.

• Identify training gaps and needs for claims staff in the area and communicate them to the RCM and Claims Training to ensure established service levels are met or exceeded.

• Collaborate with staff to guarantee that claims are closed and paid within the designated service level goals; address issues promptly to prevent exceeding service level targets.

• Provide guidance and act as an informational resource for adjusters (e.g., regularly audit adjusters’ work to ensure consistency and accuracy, adhere to regulatory and company policies and procedures).

• Supervise staffing and job development activities (including hiring, training, employee performance management, task delegation, coaching, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations); develop, communicate, and manage individual staff performance expectations in alignment with company objectives.

• Demonstrate qualities aligned with company philosophies to ensure exceptional service levels for all stakeholders.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Education Required – High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent training and work experience.

• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or agriculture.

• Experience Required – 5 years of crop insurance claim experience.

• Preferred – 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.

• License/Certification Required – Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record to fulfill company requirements.

• Required – Licensing and CAPP certification in accordance with FCIC and State regulations.

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.

• Capability to complete documentation requirements.

• Proficiency in analytical thinking; ability to identify facts and resolve issues.

• Self-motivated and efficient work ethic.

• Able to work in both an office environment and outdoors in agricultural settings.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

• Commitment to exceptional customer service, both internally and externally.

• Working knowledge of crop insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Willingness to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
