This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.
• The actual duties will vary based on daily requirements and the type of clients being supported.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with the Area Claim Supervisor, policyholders, agents, and fellow adjusters.
• Accurately document and communicate loss information to assess potential damages according to established loss adjustment protocols (FCIC, NCIS, and Company).
• Conduct field inspections, interpret maps and aerial imagery, measure fields, and assess storage bins.
• Demonstrate proficient use of company software, including regular monitoring of all communications within the organization.
• Adhere to FCIS, State, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures for MPCI and Private Products.
• Complete initial and ongoing training and certifications as mandated by FCIC and State Regulations.
• Clearly explain adjusting procedures and related findings to policyholders and agents.
• Engage in fact-finding and investigate crop damage, document findings, and transmit information to accurately assess potential indemnities.
• Display a willingness to learn about new crops.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in handling crop insurance claims is preferred.
• Required credentials: CAPP certification and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, along with the applicable State license.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture is preferred, along with relevant education and experience.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of personnel both within and outside the organization.
• Capability to fulfill documentation requirements efficiently.
• Proficient in analytical thinking; able to gather facts and solve problems effectively.
• Ability to maintain self-motivation and work efficiently.
• Capacity to work in both an office environment and outdoors in a farming context.
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, both internally and externally.
• Working knowledge of crop insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
