Crop Claims Field Adjuster I, Crop Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conducts field inspections and fulfills associated duties

• Measures fields and storage bins while discussing crop loss findings with farmers

• Communicates complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals

• Engages in fact-finding regarding crop damage, documents information, and relays loss details

• Collects pertinent facts by applying relevant laws and establishing fundamental principles of negligence

• Completes claim reviews and audits for lower-level adjusters as assigned

• Ensures legal adherence by maintaining a thorough understanding of regulatory and company policies and procedures

• Participates in projects as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• A minimum of 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of the hire date

• Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the designated territory

• Valid Driver’s License

• Ability to walk in agricultural fields for up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift between 25 lbs. to 50 lbs., and work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions

• At least 4 years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry for the Crop Claims Specialist position
