This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China, +5 more states.
• Provide engaging and high-caliber training both in-person and virtually using Microsoft Teams.
• Design, lead, and assess Crisis Communications exercises that encompass tabletop, input-response, and full-scale live scenarios.
• Keep abreast of current best practices in crisis communications, regulatory standards, and emerging challenges within the aviation sector and other high-risk industries.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and represent Kenyon with professionalism to clients and stakeholders.
• Partner with the Product team to create and tailor new training offerings.
• Travel internationally as necessary to facilitate training and exercises.
• Provide guidance to Communications Teams, offer timely spokesperson training, draft and assess internal and external communications, analyze insights from the Media Call Centre, and deliver strategic recommendations on reputation and brand safeguarding.
• Proficiency in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in crisis communications, corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or reputation management.
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute crisis communications strategies during high-profile or complex situations.
• Experience in drafting and evaluating a diverse array of communications materials, including media statements, holding statements, internal communications, Q&As, briefing notes, and stakeholder communications.
• Background in providing communication advice to senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, accurate, and timely communications under pressure.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced, and rapidly evolving environments.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media, along with their significance during crisis scenarios.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Experience in delivering virtual training through Microsoft Teams or similar platforms.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with evolving standards.
• Strong proficiency in English communication (both written and verbal).
• Experience in sectors such as aviation, oil & gas, hospitality, emergency services, humanitarian response, government, or other high-risk, heavily regulated industries.
• Experience in media spokesperson coaching.
