Crisis Care Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough clinical evaluations and formulate differential diagnoses

• Administer psychiatric medication management

• Establish a therapeutic rapport with patients

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team

• Oversee a patient caseload for 8 to 12 weeks, providing medication management

• Perform comprehensive risk assessments and create safety plans

• Employ validated clinical tools to support differential diagnosis

• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure holistic behavioral health crisis care

• Actively engage in multidisciplinary team meetings

• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient-related care

• Participate in clinical supervision

• Work alongside patients, their families, and community providers to guarantee comprehensive behavioral health services


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (or an equivalent non-U.S. degree)

• Board Certification

• Master of Science in Nursing degree or a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (or an equivalent non-U.S. degree)

• Possess an active license to practice in North Carolina

• Comply with all state regulations and continuing education requirements for providing behavioral health care

• Demonstrated experience in clinical assessments, differential diagnosis development, clinical treatment plan creation and implementation, and psychiatric medication management

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in psychiatric medication management

• Experience in clinical risk management, suicide risk assessment, and safety planning

• Comfortable using validated clinical tools to enhance clinical care

• Familiarity with and comfort using technology

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team

• Experience utilizing an electronic medical record (EMR)
