This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Ensure the prompt completion of both initial and recredentialing applications.
• Assist applicants in submitting the necessary credentialing documentation.
• Carry out credentialing tasks under the direction of CVO management for Trinity Health RHMs.
• Adhere to established credentialing policies and procedures.
• Maintain an accurate database of physicians.
• Gather data and engage in changes to the credentialing process.
• Identify and arrange reappointment candidates.
• Audit initial and reappointment credentialing files and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new team members.
• Support daily data entry and the integration of new RHMs into the CVO.
• Communicate with applicants and RHMs to ensure credentialing requirements are fulfilled within specified deadlines.
• Contact primary sources to obtain verifications for background investigations.
• Prepare documentation for verifications and summarize references.
• Assist with reappointment applications, including gathering information, verification, and follow-up.
• Meet processing time thresholds with minimal errors.
• Draft RHM privilege forms within the PCCB credentialing database module.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient, physician, employee, visitor, and external-entity information.
• Track errors and complaints for the purpose of process enhancement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
• Stay informed of relevant laws, regulations, compliance programs, and organizational policies.
• Two years of post-secondary education, training, or experience.
• One year of professional experience in a healthcare setting.
• General understanding of the healthcare industry, including hospital environments, physician practices, and managed care organizations.
• Familiarity with NCQA and TJC standards, NPDB guidelines, hospital policies and procedures, as well as general licensing regulations.
• Knowledge and experience in database organization and management.
• Proficiency in report-generating languages.
• Skilled in using PCs and Windows-based word-processing software.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, along with active listening skills and an appreciation for diverse viewpoints.
• Excellent statistical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and thoroughness.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Capability to adhere to Trinity Health policies and procedures.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to frequent changes.
• Skill in managing multiple tasks and projects during high-pressure situations.
• Current CPCS and/or CPMSM eligibility is preferred but not mandatory.
