This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Maintain and retrieve records in accordance with established protocols to support regulatory compliance, document reviews, and audits.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the records management team.
• Handle confidential and time-sensitive materials with care.
• Review provider credentialing applications and verify requirements necessary to initiate the credentialing process.
• Accurately enter and maintain complete provider information within databases.
• Liaise with various departments to ensure that records adhere to established workflows.
• Communicate with providers regarding their applications via telephone and in written form.
• Maintain comprehensive records of applications and credentialing approval letters.
• Oversee the credentialing system to ensure its functionality.
• Conduct quality audits on credentialing files to ensure compliance.
• Generate reports to assist the Credentialing team.
• Support the verification of healthcare professionals' information utilizing external verification sources.
• Assist Credential Specialists in achieving team objectives and meeting deadlines.
• Aid in preparing for both internal and external audits.
• Carry out annual and ongoing document reviews.
• Develop job aids as necessary.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in health plan credentialing, a medical office, high-volume word processing, or roles that involve regular use of Access or similar databases.
• Experience with SharePoint is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
• Basic understanding of quality assurance and/or compliance processes.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn the provider credentialing process.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn document management systems.
• Ability to retain and manage confidential files securely.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in word processing applications.
• Competent in spreadsheet and database management.
• Demonstrated personal initiative and sound judgment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to handle confidential provider information with discretion.
• Capability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
• Ability to learn, concentrate, comprehend, and evaluate information to determine appropriate actions.
• Ability to accept guidance and feedback while managing stress effectively.
• Ability to see, read, and perform repetitive finger and wrist movements for at least 6 hours daily.
• Capability to hear and speak clearly for a minimum of 3–6 hours each day.
