Credentialing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the thorough coordination, analysis, and implementation of practitioner credentialing and privileging processes for the Medical Staff in the Alaska Region.

• Utilizes critical thinking and regulatory knowledge to ensure precise primary source verification and adherence to medical staff bylaws, organizational policies, and accreditation standards.

• Assesses practitioner data to confirm that all governance thresholds and eligibility criteria are satisfied before committee evaluation.

• Detects discrepancies and compiles detailed credentialing files and action summaries to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Preserves data integrity within credentialing systems and oversees timelines and reporting obligations.

• Acts as a subject matter expert for medical staff leadership, ensuring uniform and compliant credentialing operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or three years of experience in medical staff credentialing, including complex privilege review.

• Must obtain Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) within two years of hire.

• Two years of experience in Medical Staff credentialing.

• Two years of experience with primary source verification, privileging review, and preparation of committee files.
