• Develop talent pipelines in global markets, particularly concentrating on the US and LATAM talent pools.
• Execute and oversee high-volume outreach initiatives across various channels.
• Analyze portfolios to pinpoint candidates who meet TasteMakers’ quality standards.
• Establish and sustain sourcing pipelines for multiple simultaneous roles.
• Assist in discovering strong creative and technical communities throughout North, Central, and South America.
• Evaluate applications based on selection criteria — portfolio quality, skill set compatibility, rates, availability, and readiness for assessment.
• Oversee initial candidate engagement and communication via email and messaging platforms.
• Provide timely and considerate communication to candidates across different time zones.
• Create shortlists for project-specific staffing in partnership with the Recruitment Lead.
• Aid in assessing candidate suitability for international freelance and contract project roles.
• Manage the assessment process — distribute tests, monitor submissions, follow up, and route results for evaluation.
• Assist with compliance and contracting workflows, including background checks and onboarding documentation.
• Support the logistics of expert onboarding and coordination of project kick-offs.
• Keep accurate records in our talent database and maintain an organized pipeline as we grow.
• 3–6+ years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, or talent operations — preferably in creative, design, or tech recruiting.
• Located in US/LATAM time zones, providing significant coverage during North, Central, and South American working hours.
• An understanding of creative and technical talent, with the ability to discern the nuances among various types of designers — brand, product, art direction, web, UX, advanced new media — and sufficient technical knowledge to grasp the requirements for frontend engineering and design engineering roles.
• Highly organized, capable of managing a high volume of tasks without overlooking details — juggling multiple projects, hundreds of candidates, and numerous open threads simultaneously.
• Extremely responsive. You move quickly and do not let tasks linger.
• Entrepreneurial and resourceful, thriving in settings where processes are still developing. You proactively identify and address gaps without needing direction.
• Able to work well under pressure. This is a rapidly scaling environment with real deadlines and clients, and you find motivation in organized chaos.
• Kind and focused on the candidate experience. You genuinely care about ensuring that every individual in the network feels respected, informed, and valued.
• Well-connected within the design community. You know where designers and engineers congregate online — X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord, Dribbble, Behance, portfolio sites, and niche creative communities — and are comfortable engaging in those spaces.
• Globally minded, with experience in recruiting international freelance or contract talent across time zones, or enthusiasm to develop that skill quickly.
• Remote-first: Work from any location.
• International coverage: Assist in expanding recruiting and expert support throughout the Americas.
• Path to full-time: For the right candidate, there is potential for transitioning to a permanent position.
• Autonomy and ownership: This is not a routine sourcing role — you will influence how we discover, evaluate, and onboard the finest creative talent worldwide.
