This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Identify outstanding design and engineering talent through LinkedIn, portfolio sites, social media, creative communities, and other pertinent networks.
• Develop talent pipelines in international markets, particularly focusing on EMEA and APAC regions.
• Execute and oversee high-volume outreach initiatives across various channels.
• Analyze portfolios to pinpoint candidates that meet TasteMakers’ quality standards.
• Build and sustain sourcing pipelines for multiple ongoing roles.
• Assist in identifying strong creative and technical communities throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
• Evaluate applications based on selection criteria such as portfolio quality, skill fit, rate, availability, and readiness for assessment.
• Manage initial candidate engagement and communication via email and messaging platforms.
• Provide support to candidates across different time zones with prompt and considerate communication.
• Create shortlists for project-specific staffing in partnership with the Recruitment Lead.
• Aid in assessing candidate suitability for international freelance and contract-based projects.
• Coordinate the assessment process by distributing tests, tracking submissions, following up, and routing results for review.
• Assist with compliance and contracting processes, including background checks and onboarding documentation.
• Facilitate expert onboarding logistics and project kickoff coordination.
• Maintain accurate records in our talent database and keep the sourcing pipeline organized as we grow.
• Contribute to enhancing operational coverage beyond U.S. business hours to ensure global support for experts and candidates.
• 3–6+ years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, or talent operations — preferably in creative, design, or tech recruiting.
• Located in EMEA or APAC time zones, outside the U.S., providing significant coverage during European, Middle Eastern, African, and/or Asian working hours.
• A strong understanding of creative and technical talent. You can discern the differences among various designer types — such as brand, product, art direction, web, UX, and advanced new media — and possess enough technical knowledge to comprehend the requirements of frontend engineering and design engineering roles.
• Highly organized. Capable of managing high volumes without missing details — juggling multiple projects, hundreds of candidates, and numerous open threads simultaneously.
• Quick and responsive. You act swiftly, ensuring tasks do not linger.
• Entrepreneurial and resourceful. You excel in environments where processes are still being developed. You identify gaps and address them proactively.
• Able to thrive under pressure. This is a rapidly scaling operation with real deadlines and clients. You find energy in organized chaos.
• Kind and focused on candidate experience. You deeply care about the expert journey, ensuring that every individual in the network feels respected, informed, and valued.
• Well-connected within the design community. You know where designers and engineers congregate online — X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord, Dribbble, Behance, portfolio sites, and niche creative communities — and are comfortable engaging in those spaces.
• Globally oriented. You possess experience in recruiting international freelance or contract talent across time zones, or you are eager to develop that skill quickly.
• Remote-first: Work from anywhere.
• International coverage: Assist us in expanding recruiting and expert support across EMEA and APAC time zones.
• Path to full-time: For the right candidate, there is potential for transitioning to a permanent position.
• Autonomy and ownership: This is not a routine sourcing role — you will play a crucial role in shaping how we discover, assess, and onboard the finest creative talent globally.
