This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct and enhance the voice, tone, and messaging strategy for Ashley and its array of brands.

• Establish and manage a centralized copywriting team that supports marketing, e-commerce, retail, PR, internal communications, social media, and brand storytelling initiatives.

• Ensure uniformity, clarity, and excellence across all written communications and customer interactions.

• Create and uphold copy standards, voice guidelines, messaging frameworks, and editorial systems.

• Collaborate closely with Creative, Marketing, PR, E-commerce, Merchandising, HR, and Executive Leadership teams to align messaging with overarching business objectives.

• Assist in defining how each brand articulates itself while ensuring cohesion within the broader organization.

• Supervise the development and approval of copy across campaigns, product launches, presentations, digital experiences, advertising, social media, email marketing, internal communications, and retail spaces.

• Enhance storytelling throughout the organization by implementing stronger narrative structures, emotional engagement, and customer-centered messaging.

• Adopt an editorial approach to content creation, ensuring messaging is contemporary, engaging, and strategically effective.

• Work closely with Art Directors, Designers, and Creative Leadership to ensure the integration of copy and visual narrative.

• Direct messaging strategies that promote both brand development and business performance objectives.

• Spearhead the integration of AI-driven workflows within the copy and content organization.

• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to utilize AI tools, automation platforms, and emerging technologies to enhance creative speed, scalability, consistency, and operational efficiency.

• Develop and execute AI-assisted systems for copy creation, content adaptation, localization, ideation, brand governance, and workflow optimization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate the use of AI agents and intelligent creative systems within the broader marketing and content ecosystem.

• Establish best practices, governance standards, and quality control frameworks for AI-generated and AI-assisted content.

• Stay informed on emerging trends in generative AI, creative tools, automation, and content operations to help position Ashley at the cutting edge of modern creative development.

• Motivate, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of copywriters, editors, content strategists, and emerging AI-enabled creative contributors.

• Promote a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, innovation, and ongoing improvement.

• Create scalable workflows, approval processes, editorial systems, and AI-integrated operational frameworks throughout the organization.

• Balance quality standards with speed and operational efficiency in a dynamic environment.

• Assist in unifying dispersed copy resources into a more connected, collaborative, and strategically aligned team structure.

• Manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while maintaining robust organization and communication.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional copywriting experience, including significant leadership roles in creative settings.

• A Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

• Demonstrated history of leading high-performing copy or editorial teams in retail, consumer, lifestyle, agency, or multi-brand environments.

• An impressive portfolio showcasing mastery in campaign storytelling, brand voice development, editorial writing, and multi-channel communications.

• Experience in architecting messaging systems and managing complex stakeholder relationships within matrixed organizations.

• Proven success in implementing AI-assisted creative workflows, content automation, or copy operations initiatives — strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with Rytr is preferred.
