
Creative and Civic Practice Intern, Fall 2026

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Edit short-form videos tailored for Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Extract concise, social-friendly clips from long-form content.
• Design illustrations and visual assets for blogs, carousels, and the website.
• Create basic animations or motion graphics as needed.
• Implement brand overlays, template elements, and captions.
• Transform existing content into new formats suitable for growth platforms.
• Engage in creative discussions, peer reviews, or critique sessions as desired.
• Collaborate with peers within a remote creative community as desired.
• Conduct desk research or assist with light design research in alignment with skills.
• Help prepare materials for workshops or facilitation activities.
• Aid in synthesis and documentation tasks.
• Support behind-the-scenes creative or operational requirements.
• Contribute to creative initiatives that support governments, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations through Public Servants’ public interest consultancy.
• Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduate, or emerging creative.
• Demonstrated passion for public service, civic design, or social impact.
• A portfolio or work samples showcasing relevant experience.
• Experience in at least one creative discipline.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Comfortable discussing concepts, sharing creative work, and providing feedback.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and reside in the U.S.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Must have a stable, private, and secure internet connection.
• Access to a personal computer capable of supporting the required creative work.
• Preferred: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Procreate, or other design tools.
• Preferred: Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, or TikTok.
• Preferred: Ability to incorporate captions, overlays, or animations following brand guidelines.
• Preferred: Basic experience in research, analysis, or facilitation.
• Preferred: Previous remote work, online learning, or digital collaboration experience.
• Preferred: Interest in civic design, design operations, or public interest storytelling.
• Some tasks may necessitate limited use of AI.
• Background checks may be required based on project involvement.
• Must be comfortable communicating and working in English within a professional environment.
