This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for the field execution of the Novus C.O.W.S. program across the US and Canada, with potential for international travel, in partnership with other members of the C.O.W.S. team.
• Deliver technical support for cow comfort initiatives and research, which includes analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, as well as presenting at customer and industry events.
• Possess a strong understanding of the Novus Ruminant product line and support collaborative sales strategies that integrate C.O.W.S. with product offerings.
• Assist in the sales of ruminant products alongside Novus sales managers by leveraging C.O.W.S. services.
• Foster customer relationships and share industry insights to assist customers, farmers, and cattle.
• Provide marketing intelligence by proactively sharing unique tools and taking charge of personal development.
• Collect, compile, and analyze data regarding cow comfort metrics on dairy farms, focusing on lying time, lameness, and management metrics.
• Collaborate with ruminant technical teams to create and implement analyses of cow comfort measures that cater to customer demands, fostering innovation in new techniques and analyses.
• Prepare lay articles and tools for field use in conjunction with marketing, legal, and sales teams.
• Gain insights and cultivate relationships with producers, key customers, and distributors to comprehend challenges and decision-making factors.
• Encourage the growth of ruminant product sales in the US and Canada.
• Work together with sales managers or technical teams to coordinate visits and convey key messages to identify necessary accounts.
• Use the CRM (Sales Force) platform to track customer activities and progress towards objectives.
• Engage in all Novus team training sessions and opportunities to ensure personal growth and development.
• Ensure proper stewardship of Novus resources; comply with SG&A budget and seek ways to enhance cost management.
• Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS), and all policies and procedures relevant to the position.
• Represent Novus International professionally at all times by upholding the highest ethical standards.
• Master's degree or equivalent in animal sciences, marketing, business, or a related field.
• Understanding and knowledge of the US ruminant market.
• Initiative to ensure the effective use of Novus’ resources to achieve maximum potential.
• Ability to function as a team player, collaborating with sales managers, technical support resources, marketing, and other team members.
• Analytical skills to formulate practical business strategies and solutions to meet customer needs.
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships as part of a cross-functional team.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to complete tasks within established timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capability to manage project databases and related paperwork.
• Comfort and professionalism in interactions with dairymen and nutritionists.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office, SAS).
• Fluent in English.
• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
