This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.
• Lead OAT Tour Products in South Korea to achieve Excellence Goals.
• Evaluate products against GCC Brand Guidelines and create proposals for product changes to align with standards and meet regional excellence objectives.
• Analyze all Traveler Surveys, Web Forum comments, Product Scorecards, and End of Trip Reports to formulate Quality Action Plans and/or Product Change Proposals to fulfill regional excellence targets.
• Foster the growth of each individual within the organization.
• Ensure the attainment of Excellence goals for all products in South Korea through daily operational activities.
• Collaborate with Asia buyers and the operations team to establish, develop, and sustain robust, long-term vendor relationships, addressing operational/vendor challenges to guarantee high-quality standards.
• Participate in tours to engage with Travelers, tour guides, and vendors on-site to gather real-time feedback, address urgent issues, and implement product changes and quality-focused actions.
• Create and execute a hiring strategy for Tour Guides based on their alignment with our company values (skills and experience are secondary).
• Develop and implement training and coaching plans for Tour Guides through both online and in-person meetings to ensure consistent performance.
• Accompany Tour Guides on tours to support their performance.
• Allocate Tour Assignments based on Tour Guides' performance and organizational needs.
• Provide 24/7 emergency support for all Tour Guides.
• Create and distribute a Monthly Newsletter to Tour Guides.
• Oversee all administrative responsibilities.
• Ensure the high quality of daily operations for all products in South Korea.
• Maintain, identify, and develop “Grand Circle Foundation” and “Day in The Life” sites, driving grant proposals and execution in collaboration with site leaders.
• Scrutinize the quality of vendors and provide alternatives to Buyer/RGM.
• Manage the regional budget for hiring and training on an annual basis.
• South Korean citizenship.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the international travel industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, people management, risk management, and change management abilities.
• Results-driven with a keen attention to detail and a focus on quality.
