This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess and authorize new and renewal accounts for wholesale and correspondent operations, ensuring all required documentation and financial information comply with company policies.
• Perform thorough due diligence reviews that encompass licensing, entity verification, KYC procedures, credit reports, financial statements, insurance, and operational history.
• Supervise and resolve sanctions alerts concerning brokers, loan officers, and correspondent lenders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Partner with onboarding and sales teams to facilitate wholesale and correspondent lifecycle management, covering the process from application to renewal.
• Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies by refining approval criteria and enhancing monitoring protocols.
• Extract and analyze data reports using Surge, Excel, and other internal systems to keep status trackers and dashboards current.
• Dispatch wholesale and correspondent Agreements via DocuSign, monitor completions and adjustments to agreements, and uphold compliance documentation.
• Offer continuous support to Account Executives and Sales Managers, including outreach, training reminders, and renewal communications.
• Aid in handling audit and examination requests related to Counterparty Risk.
• Provide regular updates to Leadership, following an agreed schedule, concerning application and renewal activities.
• Offer technical assistance to Wholesale and Correspondent applicants who require help with initial or renewal applications.
• Undertake additional wholesale and correspondent-related tasks and account maintenance responsibilities as necessary.
• Exhibit conduct and decision-making that embodies Newfi’s core values and culture.
• Outstanding attention to detail with the capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• 3–5 years of experience in mortgage banking, wholesale or correspondent lending, or financial services with a focus on credit/risk analysis.
• Skilled in credit risk evaluation, operational due diligence, and adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage processes, broker/lender interactions, and third-party vendor management.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities; capable of converting data into actionable insights.
• Proven track record of delivering precise information under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word), Acrobat Pro, and DocuSign.
• Experience with Free Agent CRM, Salesforce, and MeridianLink is advantageous.
