This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage model risks linked to machine learning, generative AI, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies.
• Assist the Director of Technology Risk by implementing risk assessments, conducting independent reviews and challenges, and collaborating with technology, data science, product, engineering, and business teams.
• Collaborate with second-line enterprise risk and application teams to define, document, and develop governance policies, processes, controls, and tools for machine learning and AI models.
• Conduct model risk assessments for machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics solutions throughout the design, development, deployment, and monitoring stages.
• Perform independent risk reviews and challenges of AI and machine learning models, focusing on data sourcing, training methods, validation techniques, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Aid in the establishment and continuous implementation of governance, standards, and control frameworks for AI and machine learning model risk in alignment with the Enterprise Risk Appetite Framework.
• Work alongside engineering, data science, product, and business teams to identify risks and integrate effective controls into AI and machine learning systems and processes.
• Evaluate and assist in managing third-party and vendor model risks associated with AI platforms, tools, models, and data sources.
• Prepare clear and concise documentation, assessments, and recommendations regarding model risk for the Senior Manager and risk governance forums.
• Keep abreast of emerging regulatory guidance, industry standards, and best practices pertaining to AI, model risk, and responsible AI.
• Contribute to model risk metrics, reporting, and materials intended for leadership, risk committees, and second-line partners.
• Exercise independent judgment while performing model, technology, and AI and machine learning risk assessments within established frameworks.
• Provide risk recommendations, feedback on controls, and issue identification to the Director of Technology Risk.
• Report significant risks, control deficiencies, or issues as per defined risk thresholds.
• Offer analysis and recommendations concerning risk acceptances without having formal approval authority.
• Extensive hands-on experience in models, technology, and AI and machine learning risk.
• Strong analytical judgment.
• Ability to simplify complex technical risks into clear, actionable insights.
