Contract Data Governance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive data governance frameworks and Master Data Management (MDM) strategies.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to outline data governance strategies that align with business objectives.

• Create and implement MDM solutions to guarantee consistent, accurate, and authoritative data.

• Formulate data policies, standards, and stewardship models that foster accountability.

• Establish practices for metadata management and track data lineage.

• Define and assess data quality metrics, lead corrective actions, and incorporate quality controls.

• Assess and implement governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend).

• Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance data literacy and promote the adoption of governance practices.

• Ensure that governance frameworks comply with GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.

• Contribute to internal best practices, mentor junior team members, and advance thought leadership initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in data governance, data management, or MDM consulting positions.

• In-depth knowledge of MDM principles, architectures, and implementation methodologies.

• Experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Talend.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and contemporary data stacks.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on detail and a consultative approach.

• Comfortable operating in agile, client-oriented environments with a sense of autonomy and responsibility.

• Certifications in data governance, MDM, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

• Experience in data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management.

• Background in data quality frameworks and profiling tools.

• Exposure to data mesh, data fabric, or federated governance models.
