Risk & Claims Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• The Manager of Property Risk & Claims is tasked with identifying, investigating, analyzing, documenting, and managing operational risks within Cirrus Asset Management's multifamily and commercial property portfolio.

• Act as the primary internal resource for risk management and oversee the entire claims lifecycle.

• Perform risk assessments, implement loss control initiatives, and minimize financial liabilities associated with property damage and liability issues.

• Collaborate closely with various departments to enhance incident response and improve claims transparency.

• Create scalable risk management procedures that boost operational accountability and streamline incident reporting.

• Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of corrective measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• 5–10 years of experience in multifamily property management, risk management, claims management, operations, or a related field.

• Proven experience in investigating incidents, claims, or operational challenges.

• Demonstrated capacity to adopt a proactive, solutions-focused approach to risk management by recognizing trends, performing root cause analysis, and executing sustainable risk mitigation strategies.

• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with operational teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to influence and promote accountability without direct authority.
