This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Provide assistance to the client in formulating procurement strategies, which includes vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and managing the appointment process.
• Aid in the creation of comprehensive cost estimates that encompass construction, fees, and other project-related expenses, while also supporting the review of these estimates against benchmark data and historical project performance.
• Play a role in the development and upkeep of cost plans that are in line with early works, site development, and heavy civil scopes.
• Assist in evaluating contractor and vendor proposals, including bid leveling and commercial assessments.
• Support value engineering initiatives and risk assessments by analyzing cost and constructability implications.
• Help with cost reporting by preparing and updating cost reports, forecasts, and budget tracking instruments.
• Maintain project budgets, expenditure forecasts, and commercial risk registers with supervision.
• Engage in periodic cost review meetings with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Aid in cost control processes, which includes reviewing payment applications and contractor entitlement evaluations.
• Monitor and analyze change orders, providing recommendations to the client.
• Contribute to efforts aimed at dispute avoidance and resolution related to payments and change management.
• Assist in tracking commitments, contingencies, and cost influences throughout the project lifecycle.
• Help in preparing monthly cost reports and client presentations.
• Support final account reconciliation, post-contract audits, and project close-out tasks.
• Maintain cost data and participate in benchmarking activities, especially for heavy civil and site development scopes.
• Assist in documenting lessons learned and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
• Execute tasks using standard tools such as bid analysis sheets, change control documentation, estimating software, and quantity take-off instruments.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of pertinent experience in cost management within construction, particularly with large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil projects that can be applied to data center, mission critical, or similarly complex construction settings.
• Experience in supporting fast-paced construction programs that involve substantial site development components.
• RICS accreditation or progress toward accreditation is preferred.
• Experience in cost management for medium to large projects is essential.
• Construction consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, procurement strategies, and principles of commercial management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Candidates must reside in the United States and have legal authorization to work in the U.S.; remote work is allowed only within the United States.
