This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct environmental remediation cost estimates utilizing Microsoft Excel.
• Oversee the preparation of estimates and assist proposal teams in formulating remediation technical strategies.
• Facilitate project team reviews of estimates.
• Collaborate with project teams and management on strategic planning and execution.
• Assess estimates to identify potential key issues in projects.
• Document assumptions for bid communication and execution of work.
• Evaluate business prospects and assess potential profitability.
• Implement financial analysis and compute profitability metrics.
• Mentor junior staff and foster talent development.
• Monitor action items.
• Prepare or assist in generating ROIC and IRR forecasts.
• Liaise with subcontractors on technical issues during proposals, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Create crew build-ups and determine production rates.
• Decide on construction equipment selection.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures.
• Draft Estimate Plans, Bases of Estimate, qualifications, and bid tabulations.
• Gather, analyze, and store project data.
• Create historical documentation and compare current estimates against past performance and market standards.
• Assist in preparing presentation materials for the Executive Review Committee.
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Administration in Business, along with 4+ years of relevant estimator experience, specifically in environmental remediation, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Must successfully pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• A valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience in preparing successful estimates for competitive, large-scale (>$10M), firm fixed-price performance-based environmental remediation projects is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with the RACER cost estimating tool is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of estimating terminology, processes, and project actions.
• Knowledge of construction methods, means, and sequences across various disciplines.
• Working knowledge of planning and scheduling practices.
• Understanding of the company’s cost structure, including overhead, G&A, and insurance.
