This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.
• Conduct cost estimating, analysis, and control activities as instructed.
• Oversee quality control reviews and foster relationships with project staff, especially with discipline group leaders and engineers, while providing technical guidance to assigned personnel when designated.
• Cultivate relationships with project personnel, with an emphasis on collaboration with individual discipline group leaders and engineers.
• Lead project team members, ensuring adherence to project timelines and the accomplishment of project objectives.
• Aid in the professional growth of fellow staff members.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of standards, programs, and reports for cost recording, reporting, and analysis.
• Assist in compiling cost information for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Support scope change management initiatives.
• Determine scope definition needs for a specific discipline or specialty and collaborate with Engineering and other sources to ensure the production of necessary data aligns with the overall estimate preparation plan.
• Develop specific budgets following established standards and procedures.
• Prepare and manage cost reports.
• Gather and categorize cost engineering data.
• Execute data analysis and development tasks.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager / Supervisor / Manager.
• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, along with 5-10 years of relevant experience in the industry is required.
• Certified Cost Professional certification from AACE International or a similar certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with capital cost and service cost principles.
• Understanding of scope change management processes.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction systems, and startup work processes.
• Proficient in using various discipline-specific software applications.
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and offer innovative solutions to cost-related challenges.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes, along with an understanding of Controller instructions that affect Project Controls (including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data).
• Competent in using computers and basic software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for executing work processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
