Corporate Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a cohesive narrative for the monthly forecast. Collaborate with Business Finance and examine variances to the plan, emphasizing the “why” rather than merely the “what”.

• Create executive-level analyses encompassing headcount, expenses, and revenue streams. Highlight key insights and present them clearly to leadership.

• Serve as a crucial partner in our Long-Range Plan and Annual Plan processes: assess the effects of strategic initiatives on our consolidated P&L, critically evaluate assumptions, and shape the executive narrative.

• Function as the subject-matter expert in Pigment – our FP&A tool – possessing ownership over corporate model logic and company-wide planning assumptions.

• Recognize bottlenecks, apply first principles thinking to resolve issues, and facilitate efficiency improvements.

• Collaborate with Finance Data and Finance Transformation teams to integrate AI and automation into our processes.

• Act as the reliable finance business partner for our People & Talent organization.

• Engage with our Chief People Officer and Talent and People Operations teams, assisting not only in the creation and management of their forecasts and budgets but also in projects that enhance our people-related analytics and workflows.

• Oversee headcount analysis and hiring reports utilized by all recruiters and hiring managers at Life360.

• Develop analyses to address the questions that arise from accounting, our internal team, business partners, or the CFO.

• Assist the Investor Relations team during the quarterly earnings cycle with various analyses.

• Produce ad-hoc analyses on tight deadlines without compromising rigor. Transform vague prompts into precise, defensible answers.

• Adapt to Cash Flow forecasting, quarterly earnings, special projects, and business acquisition integration as required by the cycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance within a public company, demonstrating progressive scope and exposure to executive-level reporting.

• Preferably from a high-growth technology company with diverse revenue streams.

• A strong passion for data and its potential to provide a competitive edge for a company.

• Proficient in financial modeling. You can create clean, adaptable models from the ground up under time constraints, with a keen sense for the appropriate level of detail.

• Proven history of delivering high-quality analyses while maintaining both attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the business.

• A commitment to quality and continuous improvement. You prefer to accomplish fewer tasks at an A+ level rather than many at a B+ level.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment that requires independent work with minimal guidance.

• Comprehensive understanding of an enterprise planning platform (Pigment, Adaptive, or similar) beyond casual use, along with the systems-thinking ability to design scalable models.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to take initiative to advance work and collaborate effectively — from junior team members to senior leadership.

• An ownership mindset that acknowledges the significance of trust — whether within the team, across the organization, in the systems we develop, or in the products we offer.

• A curiosity about AI and a willingness to employ it. Some hands-on experience with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools is desirable.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. An MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
