
Corporate Development Portfolio Manager – Fintech, Emerging Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Manage the post-investment relationships for a portfolio of strategic majority investments spanning various sectors and geographies.
• Identify, cultivate, and implement commercial partnerships between portfolio companies and Tether business units.
• Propel revenue generation, customer acquisition, product integrations, distribution agreements, infrastructure partnerships, regulatory collaboration, and ecosystem growth.
• Counsel founders and executive teams on how to utilize Tether’s network, resources, and global presence.
• Develop frameworks for value creation and assess impact across the portfolio.
• Facilitate introductions among Tether businesses, leadership, customers, partners, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Assist in strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, market expansion, and significant commercial initiatives.
• Analyze partnerships, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and other transactions.
• Formulate strategic theses on emerging markets, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.
• Aid in planning and executing integration for acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
• Deliver market intelligence and strategic advice to Tether leadership.
• Represent Tether as a board director, observer, or shareholder representative.
• Provide governance oversight and review portfolio performance, budgets, forecasts, fundraising strategies, and strategic decisions.
• Assist portfolio companies throughout growth, expansion, financing, acquisitions, and organizational scaling.
• Lead portfolio reviews, board preparation, KPI tracking, and strategic reporting.
• Support follow-on investment decisions, capital allocation strategies, and liquidity planning.
• Create frameworks for portfolio management, governance processes, and scalable reporting systems.
• Aid in due diligence by assessing strategic fit, value-creation opportunities, and post-investment operational plans.
• Evaluate synergies prior to investment and devise post-closing execution strategies.
• Assist in transaction structuring and negotiations.
• Contribute to investment recommendations and materials for the Investment Committee.
• 7–15 years of experience in corporate development, private equity, growth equity, strategic investing, management consulting, operational leadership, or value creation roles.
• Proven experience collaborating directly with executive teams, boards, and founders of high-growth companies.
• Strong history of driving commercial partnerships, strategic initiatives, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
• Experience in managing portfolio companies, subsidiaries, business units, or strategic investments.
• In-depth understanding of corporate governance, board processes, and shareholder oversight.
• Outstanding relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior executives across multiple organizations.
• Experience assessing business models, growth strategies, competitive positioning, and operational performance.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to work independently in a highly entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
• Preferably experienced in fintech, financial infrastructure, payments, digital assets, banking, software, AI, or related technology sectors.
• Previous experience as a board director or board observer is preferred.
• Ideally experienced in supporting transactions, strategic partnerships, integrations, or corporate development initiatives.
• Background in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or operational leadership roles is preferred.
• Existing relationships with founders, investors, financial institutions, regulators, and strategic partners are preferred.
