This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Assist in the assessment and implementation of M&A opportunities, which encompasses target research, strategic justification, financial analysis, diligence coordination, transaction documentation, and integration planning.
• Create financial models, business cases, and valuation assessments for acquisitions, partnerships, new market entries, and other investment decisions.
• Conduct research on markets, customers, competitors, and industry trends, including Total Addressable Market (TAM) and Serviceable Available Market (SAM) analysis, country prioritization, and identification of potential acquisition or partnership targets.
• Formulate market-entry strategies, compile customer and partner target lists, develop outreach materials, and provide recommendations for senior leadership.
• Prepare presentations, deal memorandums, board materials, investor communications, and executive briefings.
• Collaborate with teams across Finance, Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, and other departments, as well as engage with investors, advisors, and external partners.
• Manage project plans, trackers, and established workstreams.
• Enhance understanding of BinSentry's business, growth objectives, and corporate development initiatives.
• Offer models, research, and suggestions to inform senior leadership decisions.
• Apply structure, initiative, and sound judgment to ambiguous, high-priority tasks with minimal guidance.
• Address feedback at approximately 30, 60, and 90 days, demonstrating increasing responsibility throughout the fellowship.
• A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, engineering, data analytics, or a related field, expected to be completed by the anticipated start date.
• Up to two years of relevant experience gained through employment, internships, co-op placements, or project work in investment banking, consulting, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, strategic finance, or a rapidly growing operational company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with financial statements, business models, and quantitative data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and a strong intellectual curiosity.
• A proactive approach and capacity to juggle multiple priorities in fast-paced, uncertain environments.
• Collaborative, low-ego working style.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to BinSentry offices, customer sites, and other business meetings.
• Interest in agriculture, technology, industrial businesses, or the animal production supply chain is preferred.
• Experience in developing executive-ready analysis, presentations, transaction documents, or business cases is preferred.
• Familiarity with growth-stage companies, market-entry evaluations, M&A, partnerships, or capital allocation decisions is preferred.
• A paid, full-time, six-month fellowship.
• High performers may be considered for conversion to a permanent Corporate Development Analyst position, although conversion is not guaranteed.
• Direct access to the Vice President of Corporate Development, CEO, executive leaders, investors, advisors, and cross-functional teams.
