• Develop semantic, logical, and conceptual data models tailored to business domains and organizational processes.
• Establish and standardize the corporate data model as an integral part of the Data Governance initiative.
• Design and uphold reference architecture (both logical and technical) and design patterns for various data domains.
• Collaboratively formulate the strategy and roadmap for data architecture development that aligns with the vision of the Data Governance program and organizational objectives.
• Work in tandem with Data Governance, Data Management, Analytics, AI, and Data Engineering teams to integrate models with the data catalog and metadata management tools.
• Assist technical teams in implementing models within data layers.
• Engage in the design of data integration, flow, and quality processes (including data lineage, data contracts, and data quality).
• Identify and certify authoritative data sources across organizational domains.
• Oversee the compliance of data solutions with Data Governance policies and standards, along with architectural recommendations.
• Aid in resolving data conflicts and related issues.
• Produce architectural documentation, metamodels, and diagrams illustrating inter-domain relationships.
• Provide consultation and develop best practices in modeling, metadata, and information architecture.
• Collaborate in defining the vision, priorities, and direction for the advancement of data architecture within the organization.
• Demonstrated experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), ideally within a large organization or complex data ecosystems.
• Proficient knowledge of tools and methodologies such as ER, UML, IDEF1X, Data Vault, 3NF, and Kimball/Inmon.
• Capability to work with data catalogs and metadata management tools (e.g. DataHub, Collibra, Alation, Atlan).
• Familiarity with SQL and relational data models.
• Experience with database systems and data architecture in a cloud environment (AWS).
• Ability to collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to convert business needs into data models.
• Understanding of principles related to data security, availability, and control.
• Strong command of English for reading documentation and participating in community discussions.
