Corporate Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Corporate Controller is responsible for providing timely oversight of the Company's financial and accounting systems.

• This role includes managing several functions such as treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, risk management, insurance, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial business systems.

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting records while complying with regulatory requirements.

• Generate timely financial reports and propose suitable fiscal policies and internal controls.

• Collaborate effectively with the leadership team and other staff members to manage the company's financial affairs.

• Oversee the monthly financial closing process and lead the external audit activities.

• Prepare a range of financial reports and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitor and assist in managing the Company's cash position and treasury management operations.

• Supervise, mentor, and assess staff utilizing effective management techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.

• A CPA and/or Master's degree is preferred.

• At least five years of experience in financial accounting within a complex and diverse organization is required (substantial experience in higher education is highly preferred).

• Proven leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills.

• Experience in a management role supervising staff is required.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with financial budgeting and modeling using Excel, CampusVue/Nexus, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Dynamics.
