Corporate Claim Litigation Attorney – Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage first and third-party claims involving elevated exposure, complex extra-contractual issues, bad faith matters, and significant litigation concerning insurance claims.

• Conduct extra-contractual analyses grounded in factual and legal considerations.

• Offer counsel to the Claims Organization on extra-contractual and bad faith concerns, propose resolutions, and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with insurance claims.

• Prepare and deliver recommendations for settling claims that present extra-contractual risks.

• Collaborate closely with external legal counsel and the Claims Organization to oversee high-exposure and complex claims undergoing litigation.

• Partner with business colleagues and other in-house legal teams to formulate and execute recommendations for claims management.

• Advise and support the business regarding litigation strategies and emerging legal issues and risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing within the state of practice.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

• Strong project management skills and experience in managing law firm or vendor relationships.

• Capable of interacting with personnel at all levels and supervising the work of junior resources.

• Applies subject matter expertise to mentor and guide less experienced team members.

• Proficient in computer skills, including the MS Office suite, as applicable to job functions.

• Experience with LexisNexis or similar platforms.

• Required experience in Insurance Defense.
