This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement the End the Exception report cards for a minimum of 25 major corporations, assessing their ties to prison labor.
• Obtain at least 20 commitments for the Drop Vanguard campaign, increasing institutional pressure on Vanguard to withdraw from private prisons.
• Direct or significantly contribute to the successful execution of no fewer than three direct actions aimed at prison profiteers.
• Support the Chief Advocacy Officer and Director of Corporate Campaigns in overseeing the organization’s corporate campaigns from the planning phase through to execution.
• Lead and assist in corporate campaigns, which includes conducting research, facilitating meetings, drafting materials, coordinating direct actions and events, engaging with decision makers, aiding communications, and monitoring progress.
• Cultivate and enhance coalitions, collaborating closely with organizational partners and community members, particularly those directly affected, to further our corporate campaign objectives.
• Partner with the communications team on campaign-related initiatives to ensure that all corporate campaign communications are timely, accurate, and consistent in messaging.
• Efficiently manage administrative tasks and requirements for campaigns and related events.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned, including rapid response tasks.
• Minimum of three years of experience in managing corporate campaigns, with at least one year of experience leading corporate campaigns, including direct actions, material creation, and digital advocacy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and maintain the momentum of complex workstreams.
• Regularly and diligently practice active listening, seek clarification, and take notes.
• Established ability to foster trusted working relationships with partners and community members, including effective delegation.
• Ideally well-connected within the corporate accountability and economic justice movements.
• Capability to engage constructively in and resolve conflicts with stakeholders, as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with professional experience in drafting materials for various audiences, including fact sheets, demand letters, petitions, and opinion pieces.
• Understanding of the prison industry and corporate finance, along with a strong desire to learn more about these areas.
• Willingness to travel as required.
