Core Banking Architect – Modernization, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead the modernization of systems towards real-time and event-driven architectures.

• Design the roadmap for decoupling the monolith, removing direct database dependencies, and establishing a secure API-First architecture (via ORDS, Swagger, and OAuth2).

• Guide the team in organizing the logic residing in the database engine into reusable service layers and clear business domains (DDD).

• Implement transition architectures that allow for the gradual extraction of functionalities from the monolith to the new architecture while ensuring operational continuity (Zero Downtime).

• Foster a Database-as-Code culture, ensuring that every change is versioned, automatically tested (utPLSQL), and integrated into continuous deployment pipelines.

• Apply a Zero Trust Architecture model to services and data (OWASP, mTLS, Token Management/OAuth2/OIDC).

⛳️ Requirements

• Event-Driven Modernization: Evolve the database engine to support low-latency architectures and real-time processing (24/7).

• AI-Driven Acceleration: Lead the strategy for evolving interfaces and business logic from Forms to Oracle APEX, utilizing Generative AI and LLMs for reverse engineering and automating the refactoring of PL/SQL code.

• Design services based on bounded contexts for large volumes of financial data.

• Strong knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) to ensure smooth integration between the database and microservices architecture (Docker).

• Advanced expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and prior experience with Oracle Forms & Reports.

• Proven experience in modern application architecture using Oracle APEX.

• Familiarity with OCI CLI, containers (Docker), and service orchestration.

• High competency in tuning databases with high transaction volumes and using Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR).
