This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Validate the accuracy of articles and perform copy editing on manuscripts to ensure appropriate tone and precision.
• Utilize (and assist in the development of) proprietary AI-driven editorial tools to enhance editing efficiency and quality assurance.
• Follow MyHealthTeam's house style as well as the guidelines set forth by the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook.
• Continuously update and refine the house style guide.
• Review layouts prior to the publication of articles.
• Guarantee that all edited content aligns with MyHealthTeam's standards for accuracy, clarity, and compassion, irrespective of the workflow or tools employed.
• A minimum of five years of professional experience as a copy editor.
• Proficient in the AP Stylebook and house style guidelines.
• Inquisitive, adaptable, and willing to experiment with AI-assisted workflows while exercising strong editorial judgment.
• Competent in fact-checking references and medical data.
• Skilled in editing within Google Docs.
• Open to acquiring a working knowledge of over 70 health conditions.
• Collaborative team player.
• Well-organized and capable of managing multiple projects at once.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Experience with AI tools to improve efficiency while preserving editorial quality is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with American Medical Association (AMA) reference formatting is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of project management software, such as Asana, is a plus, but not required.
