This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify new prospects within the group travel sector.
• Offer continuous support to the Travel team with daily operations and various administrative tasks.
• Manage and organize digital files for all clients.
• Prepare and revise documents for RFPs, contracts, and other related materials.
• Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities.
• Clearly outline event requirements including dates of stay, room/meeting space needs, concessions, and more.
• Strategically source hotels for each opportunity and create hotel bid reports using CVENT.
• Negotiate proposals with hotels to secure the best rates and concessions tailored to client preferences.
• Manage contracts efficiently, including setting calendar reminders for key dates.
• Finalize and execute contracts with hotels.
• Utilize Salesforce to develop a pipeline, manage opportunities, and track relevant data.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with all properties, NSOs, and partners.
• Follow up with hotels regarding any feedback or challenges encountered.
• Engage with clients as needed.
• Provide weekly reports to the Senior Vice President, Pro Sports & Group Accounts with important updates.
• Collaborate with the Travel Division finance team on specific pickup reports, commissions, or hotel support.
• A suitable level of drive and resilience to manage multiple demanding projects in a fast-paced, technical environment within a rapidly changing industry.
• Strong awareness of hotel brands (e.g., Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, IHG).
• Advanced skills in negotiation.
• Exceptional organizational abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of travel including hotels, charter/commercial air, ground transportation, rentals, and catering.
• Robust interpersonal skills to effectively manage various relationships.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using CVENT, Salesforce, MS Office, and Google Suite.
• BA/BS in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or other relevant fields.
• 3-5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, 3rd Party/Hotel, or related team operations roles.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of group logistics and hotel logistics from both competitive and business perspectives.
• Existing book of business and established industry relationships.
• Keen attention to detail, organization, and efficiency.
