COO/CTO Co-founder – Accounting AI, Process Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with the founding team to manage the company and align technology, operations, and business objectives

• Developing and refining the product vision for an AI-driven accounting automation platform

• Converting accounting and financial workflows into scalable, automated, and AI-enhanced solutions

• Establishing the product architecture, automation logic, integrations, and data flows

• Directing the creation of automation pipelines and the technical infrastructure of the platform

• Crafting operational processes from the ground up, including customer onboarding, delivery, support, and ongoing improvement

• Implementing execution frameworks, project management standards, and internal operating rhythms

• Maintaining high standards of reliability, security, scalability, and compliance awareness

• Keeping abreast of AI, automation, fintech, and accounting-tech trends and integrating them into product and operational strategies

• Enhancing efficiency, time-to-value, and customer satisfaction

• Building and leading a small, impactful technology and operations team

• Fostering a company culture rooted in ownership, accountability, speed, and excellence

• Assisting in investor communications, pitch preparations, and technical/product due diligence

• Supervising technology- and operations-related planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in startups, scale-ups, or tech-driven companies

• At least 3+ years in positions such as CTO, COO, VP Engineering, Head of Product, Head of Operations, or equivalent

• Demonstrated experience in creating products, platforms, automation systems, or operational processes from scratch

• Practical experience with automation, AI, process improvement, or workflow optimization projects

• Strong grasp of product development, technical architecture, and scalable systems

• Comprehensive knowledge of project management, process design, and execution frameworks

• An entrepreneurial mindset—recognizing that in an early-stage startup, ownership, speed, and pragmatic execution are more critical than perfect structures

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Capability to function effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and pre-PMF environment

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical and operational solutions

• Proficiency in Polish and English, both spoken and written.
