This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Serves as the on-site project leader responsible for the execution and completion of HVAC controls and various Building Automation System (BAS) projects.
• Performs or assigns tasks as necessary to ensure the successful execution and completion of assigned projects, including system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, training, and project closure.
• Engages in the installation of hardware designs and software programming in accordance with established standards.
• Supplies detailed information to convey design and operation details to customers, Johnson Controls personnel, and subcontractors.
• Oversees and completes the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as needed.
• Confirms the complete functionality of the system and addresses issues with subcontractors and other involved parties.
• Delivers accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation.
• Conducts tests and implements modifications to systems software.
• Offers coaching, mentoring, and technical support.
• Ensures that the owner/operator is adequately trained and provides appropriate documentation and manuals for system operation.
• Adheres to all safety standards and prioritizes the safety of employees and subcontractors.
• Must possess technical, hands-on experience in system commissioning and/or programming of digital HVAC controls systems (DDC systems).
• Familiarity with a range of electronic or digital control systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems.
• Understanding of facilities management systems.
• Experience in site preparation.
• Proficiency in peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Strong personal computer skills, with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and general Windows environment.
• Must have the capability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time to international/overseas locations (excluding designated war zone countries).
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance is required.
