Controls Design Engineer, Electrical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and documentation of control systems for mission-critical projects, which include large-scale data centers.

• Create and generate control system design drawings and documentation utilizing Revit and AutoCAD.

• Aid in the design of building automation and control systems for HVAC and related systems under the mentorship of senior engineers.

• Support the development of layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel designs for control systems.

• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to ensure a cohesive and consistent design delivery.

• Engage in low-voltage system design initiatives, encompassing controls, fire alarm, and related systems as necessary.

• Revise and maintain project documentation, ensuring it is accurate and aligns with project standards.

• Facilitate design reviews by integrating feedback and implementing necessary revisions.

• Assist in the preparation of submittals, as-built drawings, and commissioning documentation.

• Adhere to internal QA/QC processes and relevant industry standards and codes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred (or equivalent practical experience).

• 3–6+ years of experience in controls design, building systems, or low-voltage systems.

• Strong proficiency in Revit is highly preferred; experience with AutoCAD is required.

• Basic knowledge of BAS/BMS systems, DDC controls, and their integration with HVAC systems.

• Familiarity with fire alarm and/or other low-voltage systems (security, communications) is advantageous.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and coordination skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Strong communication skills with the capability to follow technical directions.
