This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive automation systems that incorporate PLC controls, robotics, and cutting-edge machine vision technologies.
• Assist in BOS’s TrueLight initiatives that emphasize machine vision automation.
• Collaborate throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final commissioning.
• Create PLC and HMI programs that meet system specifications.
• Integrate I/O, communication protocols, and device interfaces within automation systems.
• Diagnose system performance issues during assembly and commissioning phases.
• Develop safety PLC programs adhering to relevant standards.
• Design and implement machine vision applications for inspection and guidance purposes.
• Configure and enhance vision systems across various platforms.
• Provide support for AI-driven vision tools utilized in inspection and classification tasks.
• Execute onsite system commissioning, including I/O validation and thorough system testing.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in PLC programming within the field of industrial automation.
• Proven experience integrating machine vision systems (2D or 3D) in manufacturing settings.
• Strong comprehension of control systems, I/O, and communication protocols.
• Practical experience in system commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Background working in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with robotics integration is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-based vision tools or advanced inspection systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of vision-based inspection technologies is a nice-to-have.
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. and to Canada as necessary is preferable.
