This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Manage the complete delivery of client onboarding projects, ensuring the team adheres to timelines and budget constraints.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of financial systems and processes that align with client objectives.
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients during implementation; handle escalations and ensure alignment and satisfaction through the transition to MRR.
• Supervise the integration of new financial systems, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption for clients.
• Continuously assess and enhance implementation strategies; educate junior team members on advanced system functionalities.
• Take ownership of financial statement quality control for all clients; independently resolve discrepancies and ensure reconciliations are accurate and complete before the MRR handoff.
• Oversee the integrity of cleanup processes; uphold accounting standards and manage escalations effectively.
• Create and implement policies and controls that standardize financial processes across client organizations.
• Propel technology modernization and efficiency enhancements for clients and internally.
• Lead initiatives to integrate advanced financial systems while ensuring compliance with regulations and adherence to best practices.
• Serve as the ultimate accountability owner for the daily performance of the team; ensure Staff and Senior Accountants produce timely and accurate work.
• Mentor, train, and provide support to Staff and Senior Accountants; hold team members accountable for quality and deadlines.
• Ensure that MRR peers are adequately trained and prepared during the client handoff process.
• Proactively identify and address skill gaps within the team, utilizing ALC resources and previous experiences.
• Collaborate with ALC leadership to uncover new project opportunities and extend services to clients beyond the implementation phase.
• Function as the key day-to-day contact for clients; build trust through reliability, transparency, and proactive communication.
• Provide consistent feedback on client performance and challenges to ALC senior leadership.
• Take personal responsibility for client task management; ensure all client deliverables are acknowledged, prioritized, and completed on time.
• Independently address client issues, escalating to leadership when necessary.
• Proactively recommend and lead process improvements to ensure clients receive holistic support from ALC, beyond just technical accounting.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard client financial information at all times.
• CPA certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Over 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Experience in leading or supporting accounting system implementations and client onboarding processes.
• Comfortable working in multi-client environments with a fast-paced workload.
• Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in client services, outsourced accounting, or a consulting environment is preferred.
