Controller – Energy Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will manage the financial pulse of the company: overseeing our monthly closing process (month-end close) and internal financial reporting (P&L, cost center reports, forecasts) — guaranteeing precise, timely, and organized financial reporting throughout the organization.

• You transform figures into actionable insights: you create and sustain financial reports that provide our leadership team with a clear understanding of costs, revenues, and overall company performance, confidently interpreting what the data signifies.

• Become a strategic finance collaborator: in addition to generating reports, you will increasingly engage in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while collaborating closely with the CFO to enhance our financial framework as the company expands.

• Utilize Excel as your tool of choice: you will work daily with structured, well-crafted spreadsheet models, continually building, refining, and maintaining them to a high standard.

• Leverage AI to enhance your work efficiency: you have a keen interest in exploring an AI-driven tech landscape and are eager to utilize a variety of AI tools (e.g., Claude) to improve your and your colleagues’ efficiency in reporting and forecasting.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess hands-on experience in financial controlling within the energy markets—be it cost, revenue, or sales controlling; what matters is your ability to work with financial data and translate it into structured, reliable reports.

• You hold a degree in business administration, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is not necessary.

• You are highly skilled in Excel and enjoy using it on a daily basis. A clean model structure, well-organized sheets, and robust formulas are second nature to you.

• You have excellent proficiency in both German and English (C1/C2).

• You are detail-oriented and methodical, with a strong sense of accountability for the figures you manage.
