This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes across all entities.

• Prepare consolidated financial statements that are accurate and timely, adhering to IFRS standards.

• Maintain the general ledger while overseeing all essential accounting cycles.

• Manage revenue recognition across various models.

• Coordinate annual audits and cultivate relationships with external auditors.

• Develop, implement, and uphold robust internal controls and accounting policies.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory, tax, and statutory reporting obligations.

• Collaborate with business-line leaders to deliver financial insights.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.

• Promote automation and ongoing enhancements within finance operations.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture the accounting and finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA designation is mandatory.

• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including roles such as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Finance Manager.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting principles.

• Experience in managing external audits and stakeholder interactions.

• Proficiency in advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial systems.

• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to discern when to delve into details and when to take a step back.
