This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise all functions within the accounting department
• Manage systems and records that are audit-ready
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to guarantee the precise and prompt distribution of financial management reports, including both internal and external monthly financial statements
• Direct the Accounts Receivable/Collections team, which includes billing, collections, and cash posting
• Create, implement, and sustain financial controls and guidelines for the organization that ensure the integrity of all systems, processes, and data
• Oversee the Accounts Payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, and cash control
• Manage the annual external audit process, including liaising with external audit firms
• Oversee and ensure compliance with tax obligations (income tax and sales tax) for the accurate and timely completion of all corporate tax returns, including working with external audit firms
• Provide accurate and timely information to the CFO to assist with the monthly reporting of results to the Executive team and the Board
• Engage in a variety of special projects and prepare various specialized reports.
• Manage or assist with Finance software integrations as necessary
• Communicate and interact with cross-functional colleagues, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master’s degree in Accounting is preferred
• CPA certification is mandatory
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency, reporting, and support data-driven decision-making
• Proficient in ERP tools and systems
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office are essential
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus
• Significant experience or interest in ERP system design and implementation
• 10+ years of relevant and progressive accounting experience
• 5+ years of supervisory management experience
• Prior Controller-level experience is required
• Public accounting experience is an advantage
• Possess technical proficiency, creative problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required
