This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute a financial management system that effectively tracks funding sources.
• Prepare annual and monthly financial reports detailing cash flows, profit and loss, and activity statements.
• Ensure financial compliance for PRI and verify that necessary annual audits are conducted.
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability standards for team members.
• Oversee financial reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Investigate, analyze, and offer recommendations on policies, protocols, or procedures to support compliance efforts.
• Work closely with the VP of Finance to manage budget policy and protocol, financial forecasting, and cash flow.
• Establish and maintain robust financial internal controls, ensuring adherence to GAAP as well as state and federal regulations.
• Supervise the annual Single Audit and financial statement audit process, ensuring a clean audit outcome.
• Direct annual internal audit efforts to foster continuous improvement and evaluate internal controls.
• Manage treasury cash functions and maintain banking partnerships.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is mandatory.
• CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification is essential.
• Over 10 years of mid-to-senior level financial management experience, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, tax management, and accounting operations, including oversight of multi-million-dollar budgets.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in people management.
• Proficiency in preparing nonprofit financial statements, including the Form 990.
• Proven experience in generating financial statements, preparing nonprofit tax documentation, and managing financial processes.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing staff who handle time-sensitive and confidential information.
• Experience in leading the implementation of financial systems.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving proficiencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Competence in accounting software, financial reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Ability to supervise and mentor accounting personnel.
• Collaborative and collegial leadership style.
• Skill in multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
