This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Create precise and thorough financial reports for management and stakeholders.

• Assess and review the work of other accounting team members associated with the same client.

• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger by recording, reconciling, and analyzing transactions, with primary responsibility for final sign-off on the ledger.

• Analyze financial data and summarize financial status.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, serving as their main point of contact for financial issues.

• Provide due diligence assistance to clients during audits, fundraising, and M&A activities.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on key financial metrics, trends, and variances.

• Deliver accurate and timely financial information to client management for informed decision-making.

• Conduct financial analysis to support client business initiatives, investment choices, and cost optimization strategies.

• Carry out ad hoc assignments as needed based on client requirements.

• Develop and implement client-specific procedures to ensure the accuracy of monthly financials.

• Assist the Kruze Tax Team with state and local compliance, sales and use tax reporting, and year-end books for tax preparation.

• Connect and collaborate with individuals and foster trusting relationships in a virtual environment.

• Review, assess, and provide feedback to junior accounting staff on the quality of their work.

• Stay updated on bookkeeping, tax filing, HR standards, and other relevant government regulations.

• Submit, approve, and track maintenance projects.

• Participate in required training and internal meetings.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting is required.

• At least 8 years of corporate accounting experience.

• Experience in an accounting role within a multi-client environment.

• Strong understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles.

• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, U.S. GAAP, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.

• Significant experience with QuickBooks Online (certification is a plus).

• Advanced skills in spreadsheet software (MS Excel and Google Sheets).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Willingness to work core business hours in the local time zone (approximately 8am to 5pm local time).

• Exceptional attention to detail – capable of executing a high volume of nuanced tasks.

• Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with a diverse range of tasks.

• Enthusiasm for rapidly changing technology/software solutions that enhance efficiency and provide firmwide value.
