This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.

• Develop and uphold a scalable closing schedule not exceeding 10 days.

• Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting.

• Prepare internal financial statements and reporting packages.

• Oversee the ongoing execution of revenue recognition within an insurance-based setting.

• Create and maintain a monthly revenue bridge: Billing activity → Net Revenue → Cash → Accounts Receivable.

• Ensure that Revenue Cycle Management outputs reconcile with the general ledger each month.

• Take charge of accounts receivable accounting, aging, and reserve methodology.

• Design scalable accounting processes and standard operating procedures.

• Establish internal controls and guarantee compliance with GAAP.

• Identify and rectify gaps in accounting workflows.

• Support audit readiness and future due diligence processes.

• Supervise payroll accounting, ensuring accurate reconciliation of bi-weekly pay periods and invoicing with monthly reporting.

• Collaborate closely with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Finance Operations, and Executive leadership.

• Enhance the alignment between operational reporting and financial reporting.

• Assist in creating visibility into revenue quality, collections, and accounts receivable performance.

• 8-10 years of experience in healthcare accounting.

• Previous experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller.

• Solid technical accounting knowledge in healthcare revenue recognition.

• Experience in high-volume, scaling environments.

• Capability to establish processes from the ground up.

• Cross-border accounting experience (US-Canada) is a plus.
